The FDSV is an alliance of officially accredited language schools and language tour operators based in Germany. We stand for responsibility, transparency, and quality in the field of international language education. Our focus is to provide an infrastructure for excellence, a centre of competence, a body for advocacy, and a quality seal of our industry. Our goal is to promote language trips and language courses of the highest criteria and through clear standards and accountability to create trust, safety and fairness for participants and partners.

Quality & Safety
All member schools and operators commit to complying with the FDSV quality guidelines according to DIN EN 14804. These ensure transparent course programme descriptions, legally binding contracts, and a high level of organization, support, and reliability. Our schools and their programmes are subject to regular external audits—a core component of our commitment to quality assurance.
Consumer Protection & Guidance
We advocate for fair conditions and comprehensive information for participants—from initial consultation and booking through to completion and their return. This includes transparent pricing, personal support, clear information on the programme, accommodation and services, as well as assistance with travel preparation and follow-up care.
Diverse Target Groups & Open-Mindedness
The FDSV stands for language education for everyone—regardless of age, gender, background, life situation, or learning goals. We promote cultural diversity and intercultural learning and reject any form of discrimination. Our commitment is based on a democratic, human-rights-oriented, and globally open self-conception.

As an association, we promote cooperation with agencies, institutions, and partners worldwide in order to strengthen international exchange and align quality standards globally. As an active member of international associations, the FDSV works toward shared quality goals and responsible exchange in the global language travel market.
